DEATH PENALTY: STRATEGIES FOR THE ABOLITION DISCUSSED IN TUNIS

FIDU, a member of the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty, participated in the third organizing meeting of the Teaching Abolition International Network, held in Tunis on 18 December, 2019. With the coordination of ECPM (Ensemble contre la peine de mort), the participants – including also representatives of associations active in Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania and Lebanon – discussed teaching methods and tools, as well as operational difficulties in different local situations.

The meeting was held on the occasion of the Tunisian National Conference “Towards the abolition of the death penalty”, which took place over the following two days with the participation of experts from Tunisia and other countries.
